This little lizard went for a swim in an orange bucket with water. When my friend saw that, she decided to take the lizard out of the water and put it into a jar. A few minutes later, we released it back to the wild.
Sometimes when I have my camera I feel like a mad man with a machine gun - I shoot anything and everything in range. However, I do have a favorite 'subject' for my photos and that is, quite evidently, the horse - of any size, breed, or origin; in any setting... Equine photography is my 'specialty'.
I do prefer taking action shots or photos of scenes that only last a few minutes (i.e. I like taking pictures of the right thing at the right time) instead of photographing a mountain range which has been there and will be exactly where it is for many years to come (hopefully). Macro photography is also a personal favorite. I try to pick a more unusual point of view when taking pictures.
I was used to my small digital cameras and have just begun exploring the world of the DSLR. In this photo blog, I will include some of the better photos I take with my DSLR.
Even though digital photography provides artists the option of giving a 'complete makeover' to the original pictures using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, I never take advantage of that. My philosophy is that a good photograph that is presented in its original, unedited version is more valuable than a great photograph which has undergone serious editing. That is why all the photos here are unedited, uploaded in exactly the same 'form' as they were downloaded from the camera.
